I finally take the time to show you some pictures of a wedding organised by The Chateau Bee last year in South of France: the magical, vintage pink and shabby chic wedding of Fran and Paul.
Fran and Paul are from UK and we got to know them very well during the planning. We shared their passion for good food, characterful French buildings and their enthusiasm for wedding DIY.
Fran and Paul wanted a shabby chic wedding, and the main elements of their event revolved around a vintage, dusty pink and cream colour scheme, lace and burlap. We found for them a wonderful Mas in South of France with cobbled stones, arches and many gardens and floral paths.
We also helped them with the whole organisation and decoration.
On the day the menacing, grey clouds hoovering above the Mas and the forecast of hail and thunderstorm changed our plans: with help from the family, we moved the outdoor ceremony to the vaulted room of the Mas. With many candles and a nice decoration, the “back up” option suddenly appeard to be a prime choice for the ceremony!
The dinner was also organised inside, in a marquee on a field with views over the mountains. The highlight of the evening was the end of the dinner: when the guests found out that the wedding cake was in fact…a cheese tower!
The wedding was featured in Perfect Wedding Magazine – February 2016.
