DESCRIPTION

Sitting proud on a verdant hilltop, Chateau Haussmannien is a 19th century chateau surrounded by 31 hectares of land. It really is a fantastic wedding venue in the South of France that presents another advantage: about 61 people can sleep on site.

Enter the chateau grounds via a secluded drive and you’ll discover a haven of peace and charm amongst lavender bushes, roses, palm trees and cedar trees.

The Haussman facade is utterly inviting and once you step inside the main building, you’ll find beautifully renovated interiors and 12 ensuite rooms for 24 people. An extra 37 wedding guests can sleep in 4 gites dotted across the domain.

On your big day, tuck into croissants and bubbly on the sunny terrace; then when it’s time to say “I do”, pick your favourite area in the vast garden or park. An ideal spot is by the impressive cedar tree that’s over 300 years old!

On-site there is also a lovely little chapel that you could integrate into the ceremony.

The wedding dinner can take place outdoors under the fairy lights or in the large reception hall. We love the chic look of the reception hall with its polished black and white checkerboard floor.

Then party the night away, as there is no curfew at this venue!

On the day after, gather everyone back by the pool for a relaxing brunch to muse over the wedding festivities.

Finally let’s mention that the owners of this venue are very much interested in making their estate an eco-friendly place with permaculture and sustainable weddings.

Things to do nearby: you’ll be ideally located to discover towns and villages of Languedoc, some of which are total gems, such as the fortified cité of Carcassonne (30 min away), Limoux (20 min), famous for its carnaval and sparkling wine “blanquette”, and the medieval town of Mirepoix (25 min) with its half timbered houses of different colours.
For the sport enthusiasts, the ski slopes as well as the Narbonne sandy beaches await only 70 min away. In Toulouse (1hr from the chateau) guests of all ages can discover the City of Space, a unique and leading place in Europe for those interested in space and astronomical culture. Finally you could arrange a boat tour on the famous Canal du Midi, only 35 km away.
