The lovely Chateau Provence has a surprise around every corner for your wedding party in France.
First, we love the secretive feel of the place: secluded away but perched at the very top of a typical village, you’ll arrive in front of an ornate iron gate, eager to discover what’s hidden behind.
Step into the sun drenched courtyard and pass the beautiful front doors of the chateau to immerse yourself in an enchanting world…
Through the chateau doors your wedding ceremony could take place under the large arches leading to the inner courtyard. This courtyard looks like a greco-roman patio, with a fountain in the middle, cherub statues and bronze sculptures…the perfect backdrop to your main event.
If you prefer, you could have the service in the lovely local church down the road.
From the inner courtyard, lead your guests up a few steps to discover a sunny terrace with olive trees. This would be an ideal spot for your pre-dinner drinks.
Then for the reception meal you have different possibilities. You can use one of the outdoor spaces or we’d recommend having it in the hall.
This is not your typical reception hall though. The room, perfectly designed for events, is large and beautiful, with frescoes, high ceilings and a funky bar section.
In the hall, there are also many alcoves and spaces for those who want to chat after the dinner.
In terms of accommodation on site: the chateau can sleep up to 30 people. The bedrooms are a reflection of the owner’s travels and good taste. They are stylish, without being fussy.
When we came to visit, the icing on the cake was when the lovely wedding planners took us right to the top of the chateau. They led us up the glass stairs to discover a panoramic view over the whole valley: simply gorgeous!
Finally we love the fact that this venue provides a service of in-house wedding planning and all inclusive packages. Nothing seems too much trouble for the planners who are ready to make every vision come true.
Things to do in the area: the chateau is located in a pretty little village, typical from the South of France. Plus only five minutes away, discover the vibrant and gorgeous town of Uzès, where you’ll find plethora of boutiques, bakeries, supermarkets etc. Explore the Gard region with its medieval, picture perfect, villages and the world-famous Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard (10 min. away). Don’t miss going to the cultural town of Avignon (30 min away), “City of the Popes”. For a day trip, head to the natural Park of Camargue, with wild horses, bulls and flamingos (55 km).
