Chateau Perigourdin is majestic with a refined elegance that makes it stand out from the crowd. It is one of our favourite wedding venues in the South of France.
Located in one of the most beautiful villages of France and in the gorgeous region of Dordogne, Chateau Perigourdin rests at the top of a mountain, yet is secluded from prying eyes.
Simply drive up the hill from the village and you’ll find yourself surrounded by tranquil nature. Continue on up and as soon as you catch a glimpse of the chateau, you’ll be under its spell.
The grounds can sleep up to 49 people: 30 people in 14 elegant bedrooms in the chateau, 6 people in an apartment and 13 in the farmhouse opposite. You will find plenty of accommodation for the rest of your guests in the villages nearby.
For reception under 100 people, you could have your dinner inside, in the lounges, or outside in the garden facing the valley. For more than 100 people, you might want to rent a marquee in case of rain.
There are different options when it comes to the ceremony: the delightful chapel (that can host up to 100 people standing), the garden à la française filled with roses and fruit trees, or even the woods with its cave sheltering a statue of the Virgin Mary… here your guests will also be gob-smacked by the view over the Dordogne river.
Finally let’s mention the pool with magnificent views, a kitchen and bbq, that would make a great spot for the brunch.
Things to do in the area: the gorgeous villages of Dordogne such as Castelnaud-la-Chapelle (2km), La Roque Gageac (6 km), Beynac (8 km) Sarlat (15 km), kayaking and canoeing on the river Dordogne, wine tasting, biking, visit of famous prehistoric caves such as Lascaux, local markets….

Not a problem, we can liaise between you and the venue. If you wish, we can put you in touch with wonderful local (and English speaking!) wedding planners that will offer you a free initial consultation and help you make a decision.
We have visited hundreds of chateaux and venues throughout France and only chosen the very best to be on this site. This means you can relax in the knowledge that the venue is of a very high standard and can deliver the perfect day for your wedding in France.
The real selling point for this chateau was the view - absolutely stunning, and there is the option to have the ceremony at the viewpoint. The chateau sleeps 35/40 so this is a good number for us, and there was another house nearby for other guests. The infinity pool was amazing and had a poolhouse where we could host a BBQ. The rose garden is beautiful and we thought we could have canapes/cocktails there. There is a nice flow to the order of the wedding, where guests could make their way around the chateau.

Stunning grounds and views which were very remarkable. The house itself was large enough to host the wedding party. Very set up for weddings and found the housekeeper very helpful in answering all our questions.
