Country chic wedding in Provence
Lovely couple Lauren and Anthony, from UK, found their dream wedding venue in France with help from The Chateau Bee Selection. They kindly accepted to let us have an insight into their wedding journey.
Reflecting back on their French venue hunting, they were pleased to discover the Chateau Bee Selection…

After choosing the perfect venue, they recruited the talented and English speaking wedding planner Nathalie at Venus Agency, to help them with the planning of their big day.
Together, they created a fantastic wedding… laid back, elegant and very French. In particular we very much like the idea of the wine truck, as well as the beautiful nomadic tent they choose.

Captivated by Provence
« When Lauren and Anthony travelled to the South of France and discovered Provence they immediately fell in love with the area. It captivated them so much they decided to get married in the region!
One thing was very important for them: they wanted a friendly wedding, in a beautiful, rustic chic venue, somewhere to have fun and relax with their family and friends…Mas Gardois was the ideal spot for them!
Classic French food
Lauren and Anthony love French cuisine and had clear ideas about what they wanted for the catering and wedding decoration. They went for a classic French caterer for the big day and ordered a vintage food truck for the day before and after the wedding.
They came to France back in March to meet the providers I had pre-selected, such as the photographer and the DJ. We also had a food tasting and prepared a meeting with the wedding celebrant to talk through the ceremony which was going to take place in the garden.
For the reception drinks and the wine on the wedding day, they had decided to go for a characterful wine truck. The tasting took place in an amazing area, surrounded by grapevines and olive trees. It was a very special time which made us excited about the wedding to come!

The wedding planning
The preparation of the wedding took about 9 months. Throughout we had a lot of Skype meetings to discuss all the planning and styling.
D-day finally arrived, and it was very hot and sunny. The venue looked wonderful, with its lavender bushes and the blossoming spring vegetation …it was such a delight to be there!
Lauren had brought some candles, vases, lights and different things from England as she wished to be fully involved with the decoration of her wedding. For the wooden tables, she had chosen fresh, green table runners made of eucalyptus and ruscus, as well as some gypsophila, freesias and green santini flowers.
The wedding dinner took place in a nomadic tent, in the field just next to the Mas as the sun was arching low on the horizon.
Buzzing the night away
After the wedding meal, the guests were ushered into the courtyard, where they discovered the dance floor and the chill-out lounge. The party went on late, everyone buzzing and having fun under the starry sky… »
