Hotel Coutettaz is not your typical French wedding venue. Tucked away in the heart of Morzine, amidst spectacular mountain views and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the French Alps, this historic manor house offers something genuinely different for couples dreaming beyond the classic wedding formula.
Alpine Wedding Venue in Morzine with Stunning Mountain Views
Whether you imagine exchanging vows against a backdrop of dramatic peaks and wildflower meadows in summer or celebrating beside roaring fires after a snowfall, this is a place for adventurous souls who want their wedding to be as memorable as the destination itself.
Picture an outdoor ceremony overlooking the valley, cocktails in the gardens beneath the mountains, and dinner beneath a beautifully lit stretch tent before dancing long into the evening. In summer, Hotel Coutettaz can host weddings of up to 150 guests, while winter celebrations can accommodate up to 90 guests.
One of the things we love most is how flexible the venue feels. Every wedding here is different. Some couples arrive with hiking boots and plans for mountain or skiing adventures. Others gather loved ones for a relaxed weekend of garden parties, barbecues and celebrations that stretch over several days.
Despite its exclusive feel, the hotel remains remarkably accessible, with Geneva Airport located just over an hour away, making it an ideal destination wedding venue for international guests.
Hotel Coutettaz’s Accommodation and In-House Wedding Team
Hotel Coutettaz is more than a wedding venue: it is a boutique hotel where your closest family and friends can stay together and truly immerse themselves in the celebrations.
The hotel offers eleven individually designed bedrooms and suites, each with its own story to tell.
Many brides choose “Atelier” as their bridal suite. Once the manor’s workshop, it has been transformed into a secluded hideaway with exposed wooden beams, a beautiful roll-top bath, a private balcony and magnificent mountain views. Tucked away in the gardens, it provides both privacy and an exceptionally photogenic setting for getting ready on the wedding morning.
Another favourite at Chateau Bee is “Pommier”, a charming garden cottage that once served as the manor’s apple and pear store. Today it offers a romantic retreat filled with Alpine character, original beams and garden views.
Food is also a major part of the experience. The talented in-house chef and culinary team create bespoke wedding menus using seasonal ingredients, whether you are dreaming of an elegant multi-course wedding breakfast, a relaxed garden barbecue or a celebratory weekend feast.
Perhaps most importantly, couples benefit from a highly experienced team, led by James, that has been hosting weddings here for over 30 years. From supplier recommendations and planning support to seamless service on the day itself, the team helps bring together every aspect of the celebration.
Why We Selected Hotel Coutettaz
At Chateau Bee, we are always searching for venues that offer something genuinely distinctive, and Hotel Coutettaz immediately stood out. For couples seeking a wedding that feels immersive and deeply connected to nature, this is a rare find.
We were also seduced by the venue’s remarkable history. As the oldest standing building in Morzine, the manor traces its origins back to 1771 and was built thanks to the wealth generated by the region’s slate mining industry. Original Morzine slate floors, wooden beams and centuries-old architectural details still hint at that fascinating past.
Combined with luxurious accommodation, exceptional hospitality and a team dedicated to creating deeply personal weddings, Hotel Coutettaz is one of the most unique destination wedding venues in Europe.
