Made famous by the English TV programme “Escape to the Chateau DIY”, Chateau Beloire was bought in 2013 by its current owners, who undertook a vast renovation of the domain, restoring it to its former glory.
We arrived there on a bright, super hot day and were seduced straightaway by the magnificent outlook of the chateau with its 17th century façade and moats. Upon entering the main doors we noticed that a lot of care had been brought to the interiors. Exploring further, we liked the decoration, that mixes authentic features, Country French furniture and sprinklings of contemporary pieces (such as the designer pendant lamps).
The chapel is also delightful, with its stunning stained glass, dappled light and high ceilings. This space could be used for your blessing …but also as a funky night club after the wedding dinner!

In the morning, meet up with your bridesmaids for a glass of bubbly on the upper terrace, with its dazzling views over the fields and prepare for the day ahead.
When it’s time to say “I do” there’s plenty of options. Head on down to the chapel or the formal French gardens. If you prefer a rustic chic setting, opt for the enchanting wood next to the chateau or even the Pigeonnier, a scenic landmark a bit further into the forest.
For the wedding feast, unveil the banquet hall that can sit up to 150 people and let the evening’s festivities begin.
On the day after, welcome everyone back to have a BBQ or galette party by the pool. You could also decide to have a food truck delivering some delicious “Fouées” (a delicacy from Saumur: a little loaf of bread filled with mushrooms, butter or rillettes).
Finally the domaine can sleep up to 60 people in 20 elegant little apartments and there is plenty more accommodation nearby for your extra wedding guests. On the grounds there is also a helipad in case you wish to arrive at the chateau in a spectacular way!
It is to be noted, too, that the chateau has its own in-house wedding planning team who will always go that extra mile to make sure your dream wedding in France is as you imagine and beyond.
As for the in-house Chef, he’s well known for preparing mouthwatering, unforgettable food.
