“Even Cinderella didn’t have a chateau like this one!” declared a beaming bride recently about Chateau de Maulmont. It’s easy to see why this chateau really is a magical venue for a wedding…
The chateau is in the countryside in the Auvergne region (the land of volcanoes) and is surrounded by the 22 hectares of parkland, boosting superb views over the Allier Valley.
The venue itself has the perfect layout for weddings, allowing you to organise surprises at every stage of your big day…
The ceremony could take place outside or under the pergola with views over the lakes. For the dinner, head towards the beautiful wood panelled banqueting room. Together with the custom made marquee you will be able to seat 100 people comfortably, with space for a dance floor. In addition, the venue has a nursery room, specifically dedicated to children.
On the day after, you can gather your guests by the outdoor pool for a relaxing brunch.
Another plus point: the dynamic and reliable owners have been welcoming weddings for many years and will really go that extra mile to make sure your wedding will be a complete success.
In addition, the chateau provides an outstanding sleeping capacity as it can sleep up to 64 guests (in 16 beautiful bedrooms, 3 suites and 2 appartements)! You’ll also find nearby B&B’s, gites and hotels for the rest of your wedding guests.
Finally the chateau also has a delightful indoor pool and sauna as well as a helipad and a golf driving range.
For all these reasons, we think that Chateau de Maulmont would suit any couple looking at getting married in a majestic, yet cosy, venue.
Things to do in the area: visit Chateau de Randan (which was formerly part of the same royal estate as Chateau de Maulmont) 7km away, discover the nearby spa town of Vichy, explore the gently rolling Bourbonnais mountains (20 minutes away) and don’t miss touring around the spectacular Volcano Park and its 80 volcanoes…
