Chateau de Vallery is more than an impressive Renaissance chateau: it is a journey through time and space, that makes it an incredible French wedding venue.
Located only 100km from Paris and 90km from Orly airport, Chateau de Vallery was built by Pierre Lescot, the architect of the Louvre. Throughout its history, the chateau has been a place of splendour and celebration and today its festive spirit is still very much as its core.
Whatever your dream French wedding is, the chateau will have the perfect setting for it. If you fancy a lavish, Versailles like atmosphere, then celebrate in the Grande Galerie, a banquet hall with high ceilings and classic period features.
Wanting something a bit more intimate? Then why not use the incredible Music Room with its painted ceilings, glass walls and astonishing chandeliers.
There are other receptions spaces on site, such as the Salle des Tentures and its 400 sq.m. trompe l’oeil or the Oriental Pavillon that comes with a lush palm grove and turquoise pool.
The Floating Gardens, an integral part of the chateau’s park, offer an extra-ordinary setting for private receptions. The Gardens feature an esplanade with a central fountain, crowned by a statue of a royal child draped in an antique golden veil and riding a dolphin. Above, a terrace adorned with Medici vases showcases monumental statues of Venus and Apollo. This idyllic spot occasionally hosts candlelit dinners beneath Burgundy’s starry skies. A few steps higher, an olive grove provides shade and a labyrinth-like atmosphere for exploration. Among the olive trees stands a horse figure reminiscent of the Parthenon’s frieze, evoking a blend of history and romance in this enchanting place.
Finally the estate offers 28 rooms on site, plus an extra 40 rooms in the next door village. That means you will have walking distance accommodation for up to 150 guests! Beyond that, there is accommodation for 200 people available within 30 minutes of the chateau.
Let’s make a special mention to the Pigeonnier bridal room, unique in the world. The Pigeonnier is France’s biggest dovecote and the ultimate bridal suite! With its three floor layout, its monolithic bathtub and daylight pouring in from the circular glass ceiling, we can guarantee you’ll be dazzled when discovering it.
The estate can be yours exclusively for 2 to 3 days with no curfew.
To sum up, Chateau de Vallery will suit perfectly party lovers and history aficionados alike and will be an ideal setting for a long weekend of celebration near Paris.
Please note: if you are based in the USA, the chateau has a representative in New York.
