Tucked in the heart of Normandy, Château Germain offers a stylish, history-rich setting just 2 hours from Paris and 40 minutes from the coast at Deauville. With a history dating back to the 17th century and a recent renovation, this private estate strikes a fine balance between old world charm and relaxed comfort, complete with orangery, pool and billiards room. Its elegant facade, in soft polychromatic brick, makes a striking first impression.
Chateau wedding in Normandy near Deauville and Paris
Weddings at Château Germain unfold over a long weekend, with full exclusive use of the estate for a minimum of two nights. Ceremonies usually take place outdoors in the landscaped gardens, followed by a reception under the large tent (seating up to 180 guests) or inside one of the two elegant salons.
On the day after, gather again for a pool party and brunch on the terrace.
It is also worth mentioning the Orangery. With its club chairs and cosy bar, it has a relaxed, lounge-like feel that’s perfect for a welcome drink on the Friday or a late-night gathering with friends.
On-site accommodation and wedding support
The château sleeps 20 guests across 10 light-filled bedrooms, including three distinctive suites and family apartments with views over the grounds or swimming pool. Design here is thoughtful, a mix of period features and contemporary touches.
Guests can unwind with a dip in the heated pool, a Finnish bath or a game of pétanque. And while the setting is peaceful and secluded, guest access is easy thanks to the château’s proximity to the A13 motorway and Deauville airport.
Chateau Germain doesn’t just give you the keys and leave you to it: you will have a dedicated Home Manager on hand to support you in the run-up and throughout your event. Catering is flexible too – you’re free to bring your own, or use the recommended partner chef.
