The setting for your wedding at Le Brossay, in Brittany, is absolutely magical. The chateau itself, classified as a historical monument, is at the heart of an extensive park and sits alongside a pond, bordered by a lush forest. Out in the domaine you may well spot some horses roaming free and dottings of authentic ancient menhirs, one of these being more than 4 metres high!
Now let’s see how your wedding at Le Brossay could unfold….
On the day of your wedding, you will have the choice of holding your blessing in the gardens or by the chapel.
The reception drinks will take place outdoors, on the front lawn. For the wedding dinner, head to the sumptuous dining room with its waxed wood panelling. You will be able to comfortably sit 60 people in this room. For more wedding guests you could decide to hire a marquee.
Next to the dining room, you will also find a stylish veranda and two lounges that you could use for the dance party. At Le Brossay there is no curfew so the dance floor will be yours until the early hours of the morning if you wish.
On the next day, sit back and enjoy a relaxing brunch by the pool with your friends and family.
Accommodation-wise, the estate can sleep 52 people on site; 35 people in the château itself, 12 people in a dormitory and an extra 5 people in a detached villa with 2 bedrooms. Your overflow guests will easily find accommodation in the vicinity, from B&Bs to self catering gites.
Finally, let’s make a special mention to the history of the chateau: far from being an impersonal hotel-like venue, the estate is a true “chateau de famille” as it has always been in the hands of the same family. The current owner, Corentine, has carried out some extensive restoration work and will really go that extra mile to make you feel “at home” at the chateau.
