Looking for a Provence wedding venue surrounded by vineyards, with sweeping views of Mont Ventoux and all the charm of honey-coloured stone buildings? Then Domaine Ventoux, near Avignon, may be exactly the place for you.
Set within a 57-hectare family vineyard cultivated by five generations of winemakers, this beautifully restored estate captures much of what international couples dream of when they imagine getting married in Provence. Ancient plane trees provide shade, rows of vines stretch towards the horizon, and the iconic silhouette of Mont Ventoux forms a striking backdrop throughout the celebration.
A Provence Wedding Venue amidst Vineyards
A wedding at Domaine Ventoux unfolds in the heart of the Provençal countryside. Ceremonies can take place beneath the shade of the estate’s mature plane trees, with views across the vineyards and towards Mont Ventoux beyond. Cocktail hour naturally spills outdoors, making the most of the estate’s gardens, terraces and vineyard setting.
As the day progresses, couples will move into the Orangeraie, a striking glass-fronted reception space. Fully glazed on all sides, it allows guests to continue enjoying the views long after sunset whilst providing all the comfort and practicality of a modern reception venue.
Outside, a spacious terrace, outdoor bar and the estate’s spectacular 40-metre-long pond create the perfect backdrop for the wedding day but also for a relaxed party or brunch with guests the following day.
A Wedding Venue Designed for a Full Wedding Weekend in Provence
One of the advantages of Domaine Ventoux is that it combines the beauty of a traditional Provençal estate with facilities that make hosting a destination wedding straightforward.
Accommodation is available on site for up to 24 guests across two Provençal mas. Mas Henri can accommodate up to 20 guests across seven bedrooms and two bathrooms, whilst Mas Huguette offers a private 90m² retreat for the bride and groom.
There is plenty of nearby accommodation for additional guests, making it easy to host close family and friends within the vicinity.
Why We Chose It
There are many vineyard wedding venues in Provence, but Domaine Ventoux stood out to us for several reasons.
First, the setting is exactly what many couples travel to Provence hoping to find: vineyards, lavender, traditional stone buildings and uninterrupted views.
We were also particularly impressed by the estate’s striking Orangeraie and its spectacular 40-metre reflecting pool, both of which give the venue a distinctive identity whilst remaining in keeping with its surroundings.
Rooted in the same family since the French Revolution, the estate carries the passion and expertise of 5 generations of winemakers. More than just a venue, it is a timeless setting that makes the Provence dream feel achievable.
Please note: there is a swimming pool on site; however, access is reserved exclusively for guests staying at the property.
Green credentials: this Provence wedding venue produces its own wine and holds the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification, a French accreditation recognising vineyards that operate to high environmental standards. This includes a strong focus on biodiversity, responsible water management, and a reduced use of chemical treatments.
