Do you picture your wedding day at an intimate French Riviera seaside mansion with pastel green shutters, olive groves, outdoor dining and panoramic views? Then La Ferme, in Côte d’Azur, is the wedding venue for you!
La Ferme is tucked away in the hillsides above Grasse, the famous Capital of Perfumes, on the French Riviera. Behind large gates, discover a beautiful bastide dating back to the 18th century. What particularly struck us were the gorgeous surrounding views, making for the perfect backdrop to your wedding photos.
For the wedding ceremony, we love the idea that you could have it amongst the olive trees, for that classic mediterranean feel. Another option is to hold it on the lovely main terrace with La Ferme standing proudly behind.
The pre-dinner drinks can be held by the pool, whilst the dinner will take place outdoor or in a stylish marquee (at an extra fee). Our suggestion for the marquee would be to have it set in the field down from the bastide, in a space lined by mature trees.
On the day after, get a private French chef to create a delicious BBQ or hog roast with local fare for you and your relatives to enjoy down by the swimming pool.
Finally La Ferme can sleep up to 18 people in 8 bedrooms and you will find plethora of accommodation nearby. In particular, the owner of the venue can offer discounted prices on the rooms of one of his hotels located just 10 min away and which can sleep 32 people.
To summarise, we think that La Ferme is a perfect option for couples who are after a chic, yet relaxed wedding venue on the Riviera. Plus, it is a place you can rent entirely, so you’ll really get the feeling to be “at home” and not in a hotel.
Things to do nearby: at La Ferme you are ideally located to explore the Riviera, starting with the world famous town of Grasse. Then go and discover all the facets of Côte d’Azur: from lovely hill top villages and colourful towns (our favourite is Valbonne!) to the glitz and glamour of the coast with Cannes, St Tropez, St Jean Cap Ferrat etc…
