Enter the 18th century chateau and be amazed by its grace and inner luxury. The owners, Céline and Dimitri, decorators extraordinaire, have achieved a perfect combination: the design of the interiors make your feel like royalty, whilst the comfort and facilities make you feel right at home.
The venue is surrounded by a vast park where you’ll be able to have your blessing, facing the vineyards. Then proceed with the reception cocktail, on the main terrace, under the radiant Bordelais sun. The dinner will take place outdoors or in the gorgeous, light filled, reception room. With its exposed stonework, oak wood flooring and stylish chandeliers, the reception room can accommodate up to 120 people.

Domaine Ventoux – AC and Pool
Looking for a Provence wedding venue surrounded by vineyards, with sweeping views of Mont Ventoux and all the charm of honey-coloured stone buildings? Then Domaine Ventoux, near Avignon, may be exactly the place for you.
Ceremonies can take place beneath the shade of the estate’s mature plane trees, with views across the vineyards and towards Mont Ventoux beyond. Cocktail hour naturally spills outdoors, making the most of the estate’s gardens, terraces and vineyard setting. As the day progresses, couples will move into the Orangeraie, a striking glass-fronted reception space. Fully glazed on all sides, it allows guests to continue enjoying the views long after sunset whilst providing all the comfort and practicality of a modern reception venue.

Historic French Wedding Venues That Keep Cool
Many historic chateaux do not have air conditioning. But don’t panic! These thick, centuries-old stone walls act as natural thermal regulators, keeping the interiors significantly cooler than the outside temperature, even during a heatwave.
In this section we will show you a few of our venues that have thick stone walls, keeping the venue cool naturally.
Chateau de Lefort – Historic
The chateau is located in a totally unspoilt region of South France: the volcanic area of l’Escandorgue, a succession of rolling hills displaying an incredible patchwork of vibrant red soil (specific to this part of France) and lush green vegetation.
Pass the large wooden door to discover the 17th century cour d’honneur, a charming patio with gemeled windows. There you could have your blessing. Alternatively, there is also (800m further on) a wonderful church that could host your ceremony.
The vin d’honneur (reception drinks) will be held on the lawn of the chateau. There is a covered gallery which would also be used as a shaded area if it’s too sunny. The dinner will take place in the former Ecuries (horse stables), an impressive vaulted room that can sit up to 130 people.

Chateau de la Citardière – Historic
The Chateau sits at the heart of the largest forest in Western France, among 5,500 hectares of nature. After crossing the Roman bridge, come through the Chatelet gate and discover a preserved environment where ancient trees are nourished by the surrounding lake and moats. This U shape Citadel provides a feeling of intimacy like no other.
