Beau-Moulin is a vineyard wedding venue like no other, a heady mix of French boho-chic, joie de vivre and English hospitality.
The young owners have created a little heaven, magical and unpretentious, where you will be treated like long-time friends – we are sure you will like their style.
Enter by the tree lined drive and discover the blue shuttered Moulin, a historic French watermill of traditional Charentaise architecture.
Have welcome drinks by the mill pond before making your way through a little gate… to discover, hidden away, the secret riverside garden, a headland circled by water. In this natural amphitheatre with its soothing tones of rippling water, you will meet to say your “I-do’s”.
After the wedding ceremony let your guests wander in the 11 acres of park or simply drink champagne on the sun kissed terrace looking out at the Cognac vineyards beyond.
The wedding breakfast can take place outside under the fairy lights or in the elegant Charentaise barn. We love the character of the barn with its authentic oak beams and ancient stone walls.
As the night starts settling in, cut your wedding cake by moonlight. Now it’s time to dance and there’s no need to hold back! Here, if you wish, you can party all night, until the sun comes up!
The day after, gather your friends and family again to enjoy a delicious BBQ or brunch by the pool. The Moulin is your home away from home for the entire week, so you are free to organise any additional events both before or after the wedding.
But the good things don’t stop here: Beau-Moulin also offers their own on-site wedding planner who will help and guide you as much or as little as you like, from the early planning to the wedding day itself.
Also worth mentioning: packages include the hire of all your furniture and décor to make your day and preparation as easy as possible. This includes vintage French chairs, rustic tables, old Cognac barrels for cocktail tables and bar, décor, fairylights, candles, custom made signs and so much more, all helping you to create that authentic rustic chic French wedding look!
Twenty people can sleep on site, across four lovely French-style cottages. All are self-catering. There is also plenty of accommodation nearby for the rest of your wedding guests to stay and your wedding planner can even help organise transport for your guests.
Finally let’s mention the owners, who are as friendly and accommodating as can be. They have a long experience in event planning and will be by your side from day 1 to help you create your dream wedding in France.
Things to do nearby: the nearest village is jus 2km away and you will find there bakers, butchers and a restaurant. Just 10 min away is the buzzing town of Cognac, where you ought to visit one of the numerous Cognac distilleries. Further afield discover the bigger town of Angouleme, renown for its International Comics Festival. The beautiful seaside towns of La Rochelle and Royan are just 1hr away. You could also decide to go for a wine tasting in the famous vineyards of Bordeaux which are slightly further away but well worth a visit.
