Not far from Nantes, Château Fleur du Ciel is a stunning mix of medieval, gothic and Renaissance influences and is perfect for a chateau wedding in Western France.
Many features place the chateau dear to our heart.
First is its flexibility: for an intimate wedding, you could use the little chapel on the ground and move to the beautiful stained glass gallery within the château for your dinner. For a larger event, the outbuildings can host up to 180 people.
Then, you can sleep there about 140 people in 5 B&B bedrooms, a self catering gite, a dungeon and a dormitory for 100 people. We are big fans of the dungeon, its circular bedrooms and large kitchen.
Finally, the different spaces and many gardens offer a great versatility when it comes to organise an event there. We particularly like the Californian giant thuya in the East garden that can be used as an incredible woodland photo-booth!
Château Fleur du Ciel has belonged to the same family for many generations. The lovely Vicomte and his family will be delighted to show you their family tree and share the history and stories of the place around a cup of tea.
It is also worth mentioning that this venue is just next the Puy du Fou, an historical entertainment park that has been voted best park in the world.
Things to do in the area: in the village you’ll find a supermarket, baker, restaurant, post office, bank etc…Don’t miss Le Puy du Fou (10 km), or the Japanese gardens of Maulevrier (25km); do some golfing or kayaking, explore Le Marais Poitevin (also called the “Green Venice”) on a little boat (80 km), go to the creative city of Nantes (80 km) or sunbath on the atlantic coast…
