Just a short drive from Paris and the ferry ports from England, Chateau Normandy is a stunning XVIII-century chateau officially listed as a Monument Historique. With its beautiful façade and exquisite ornamented pediment, this family-owned estate offers the perfect blend of French sophistication and laid-back country charm – an idyllic setting for couples dreaming of a romantic wedding in Normandy.
A Wedding Chateau in Normandy Made for Slow Living
We found that at Chateau Normandy, life moves at a slower, more beautiful pace.
Mornings at the chateau start with the owner’s homemade pastries, fresh crêpes, eggs from the château’s own hens, cheeses, seasonal fruits, jams, and warm viennoiseries – all prepared with care to give guests a taste of authentic French living.
On your wedding day, picture reception drinks on the front lawns as the Chateau slowly takes on the glow of sunset. Then move to the dedicated space behind the property for a leisurely meal under a marquee (to hire separately). As night falls, the Chateau itself is beautifully illuminated, creating a luminous backdrop for celebrating and dancing.
The next morning, gather your guests for a French country picnic by the pool.
French Hospitality and On Site Accommodation at Chateau Normandy
Guests can stay in the chateau’s rooms and the on-site gîte, with accommodation for up to 33 people – or 35 if you make use of the extra sofa bed. The people sleeping on site will also have access to the chateau’s living spaces, including the elegant salons and the kitchen.
We especially love the interiors, where owner Marie-Laure has blended the elegance of classic French château style with the warmth and soul of a true propriété de famille, creating a welcoming and character-filled retreat for your wedding party.
Add all of this together and you have the perfect recipe for a wedding weekend filled with joy and unforgettable moments.
