Located in Perigord, land of truffles and foie gras in Dordogne, South West France, lies a beautiful and romantic chateau wedding venue, Chateau des Barons.

On the day of your wedding, enjoy several beautiful spaces at the chateau, either indoors or outdoors.

For your blessing, gather your guests by one of the two lovely chapels or say “I do” amidst ancient trees in the parkland.

During the cocktail hour, let your guests mingle and stroll among the  13-hectare private estate or choose a more intimate location on the Courtyard.

Dinner can be served outdoors in the Courtyard as the sun goes down and is illuminated by festoon lighting, within a spacious marquee, or indoors in the Event Suite which features elegant checked flooring and beautiful candelabras.

Timing for curfew dependant on event location.

On the day after gather by the pool for another round of food and merriment.

The Chateau sleeps 44 people in 19 spacious individually styled bedrooms. All except 2 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is plenty of additional accommodation for your overflow guests.

The living spaces will also be accessible to those staying in the Chateau making it feel like a ‘ home from home’.

Now, it’s been lovingly refurbished by a private, English speaking family to welcome guests from far and wide.

Things to do near the Chateau:

Visit the impressive Chateau Jumilhac and its gardens just 5km away. Gold panning, cycling, rock climbing and beautiful walks are also available.  A short drive away ‘Espace Hermeline’ is a great place for pre wedding activities and families featuring water activities, accrobranch, Velorail and more. For those food lovers – don’t miss out on truffle hunting and tasting in the village of Sorges as well as the weekly market in Thiviers.

"Wow, What more can we say. The most beautiful venue with the warmest of welcomes. We had our wedding at the Chateau in 2023 and it was absolutely perfect. The Chateau is renovated to such a high standard yet and feels luxurious whilst retaining a relaxed, family feel... Making arrangements for our wedding has been so easy and definitely had the personal touch. Theres a lot included in the hire package which saves any Bride and Groom a lot of additional planning. We also came across some garden games and had a post-wedding game of croquet. The Chateau will always have a special place in our hearts and there were many tears when having to say goodbye for now. It is beyond beautiful and we couldn't have dreamy of anything more for our wedding."

"We have hosted our wedding at the Chateau in August and I couldn't recommend more! Location is stunning and allows for so many options for your big day- we have opted for ceremony under old trees at the front, cocktails and canapés at the back overlooking stunning greenery but also enjoying chateau in the background and our wedding dinner in the courtyard wrapped by the chateau's stunning architecture. Chateau also offers two rooms inside big enough to accommodate your dinner or DJ party and has a cute chapel at the back which is often used for ceremonies. Inside- plenty of space for your guests and entertaining- two kitchens, lounge spaces, dining room etc. Variety of bedrooms with ensuites or shared bathrooms allowed us to place pretty much 50% of our guess with us + lovely interiors peppered with antiques is always a plus! And of course a swimming pool. Martin and the Chateau's owner were very accommodating and helpful- whether it was finding local bakeries or doing reservations/calling taxis in French. I also really enjoyed meeting an owner who baked us a fabulous banana bread! I am attaching some of the photos. Thank you!"

" The Château is stunning on a wet and cool day, so I can only imagine what it will look like in the summer time. The Château is beautifully renovated, lovely furnitures and comforts, so much space, super clean and with everything you could need. We stayed in a wing which held two doubles over a ground floor and first floor which held a fully equipped kitchen and two lovely big lounging areas and private en-suites. Our stay and all our planning was brilliantly managed by Martin, who is incredibly helpful, with a very flexible and welcoming approach. We were so warmly welcomed by Martin and the owner Leslie, who had made for us the most delicious bakes and made sure we had food prepared for us after a late afternoon flight. I can't wait for next year when we come back with all our friends & family. Thank you …"
