Nestled amongst the South France vineyards is the striking Chateau Les Carasses. Youโll discover that this venue is unique in many ways; it has an abundance of spaces to choose from for the different moments of your wedding. Plus it offers an outstanding sleeping capacity!
When we visited, we loved the estateโs first impression. As we approached along the cypress tree avenue, we marvelled at the sight of the chateau, standing gracefully with its elegant turrets, framed by vineyards, forests and the Pyrenees mountains on the horizon.
Stepping through the chateau doors we were then taken aback by the classy interiors, the harmonious design throughout the various spaces and the curated furniture and art.
Now, letโs picture how your wedding stay could be organisedโฆ
On the Friday, treat your guests to a wine tasting session before gathering everyone for a buffet on one of the terraces.
On your big day, have your blessing in the gardens, or (our favourite option!) by the gorgeously chiseled green house. The rumour has it that it was built by no other than Gustave Eiffel! (AKA Mr Eiffel Tower).
The wedding dinner will take place on the restaurant terrace with its gorgeous vistas.
The party will continue in the wine cellar, that looks like an atmospheric French cafรฉ, with subdued lighting, large leather sofas and paintings on the walls.
On the day after, savour a delicious brunch with your guests in a lovely wooded clearing of the domaine before winding down by the infinity pool.
It is worth mentioning that we were lucky enough to taste the food. We were impressed with the high quality and presentation, so youโll be in good hands there when it comes to deliver to your guests an unforgettable wedding dinner.
Finally, the domaine can sleep up to 100 people, in 30 suites, villas and apartments. We love the high standard of the accommodation, each area oozing with style and comfort. Plus 10 of the larger properties have their own private pools and gardens.
The chateau also has a tennis court, as well as a pรฉtanque pitch, BBQ equipment and courtesy bicycles. New to the chateau is also a mini farm.
To summarise, we think that Chateau Les Carasses would perfectly suit a couple wanting a refined yet chilled wedding in an outstanding chateau offering all the conveniences of an in-house wedding planning and catering team.
Things to do nearby: On site, you can explore the area by foot or by bike, play tennis, pรฉtanque, or even beach volley ball!
Not far from the chateau, you’ll be able to treat yourself to all sorts of activities, from many water sports to paragliding. Horse riding is well worth a go if you want to explore the area. 5 minutes away from the domaine is the famous and scenic Canal du Midi: the staff at the chateau could book a barge for you where you will sample some local wines accompanied with delicious delicacies.
